In December I turn the focus of my drawing practice away from charcoal and paper to an edible project. With an attention to detail that borders on overkill, I make a limited edition of elaborately-decorated, spicy gingerbread snowflakes. People say these cookies are too pretty to eat…but children know better. For a while I offered them for sale but have gone back to the roots of this project and now I only give them away. For those who miss seeing them in my studio every year, I’ve included this page where you can find the latest batch and an archive that goes back more than 10 years.
